Bio

My name is Jean Day.
I have been researching ancestors for more than 20 years now. It all began with the attempt of finding my Mother. Divorced, remarried and moved away. No one in the family new where she was or where she went. The divorce records seem to have been lost. Due to it took place behind close doors. I literally had nothing to go on. The search became easier when I got the internet. However, I still had little to nothing to go on. Eventually, through a lot of time, money and travel, I found my Mother. Not how I wanted to, for she had already passed. I found her on a shelf in a Funeral Home. She had been there about 10 years. She had been Cremated and no one had paid the bill. We took he home and gave her a proper burial. That was one of the saddest days ever. In finding her though, I also found a half brother and many cousins I didn't know I had. I have found many more family members since that time. To this day, I continue to research for more family members. I wish all of you out there whom are researching, DON'T give up. No matter how long it may take ... DON'T give up!
