I cannot remember who wrote down this thought, but I attribute it to him with thanks: It may seem like an impossible accident that everything happened in a way to give me life, but it did in fact happen. My smoldering desire is to know the trails of that accident and to record it for my children and grandchildren. I have been helped in that journey by many kind and generous people, and if I can in some small way help others, that only amplifies for me the joy and excitement of the search.
