I'm based in Co. Galway in Ireland, but my family is primarily from Counties Limerick & Cork with a few from Kerry also. I live periodically in the United States, and have extended family there too.
Seeing old family photos at my grandparents' house got me hooked on genealogy from an early age. Having spent years learning more about the lives of these people and their families, it is still a source of endless fascination to me.
In piecing together my own genealogy, I have benefited hugely from the volunteer work of others, so I am happy to pay it forward however I can, be that by indexing or fulfilling photo requests etc.
