I recently acquired about 200 years worth of family history when my father passed away and in going through the letters and pictures I really became interested in documenting the past before it is too late and their stories are gone and no one knows who they were. There are many pictures we may never be able to identify. I knew many of these people and there were many I did not know but their stories are fascinating. They all had a story to tell and many of them had hardships we could never imagine. Obituaries I have read tell so much about each of them.
