Bio

Let me introduce myself, I am Wayne A. Cekola II and was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania on March 1, 1968, son of Wayne and Ronaele (DeiCas) Cekola.

MY EDUCATION
I am a graduate of McGuffey High School in Claysville, PA.
I received my B.S. in Education from California University of PA.
I then went on to get a M.Ed. in Math/Computer Science from California University of PA.

MY INTERESTS
While in college, I was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. I am still actively involved as an alumni advisor for the fraternity.
In my spare time I like to go out into the great outdoors and find an occasional geocache. If you have never participated in this activity, please check it out at www.geocaching.com - it is really a good time, and keep an eye out for any logs by "Team Copycat".

MY MILITARY CAREER
I have been in the US Army since my junior year of high school, I joined in 1985. I started an enlisted Soldier at the rank of Private E-1. Since then, I completed the Army ROTC program at California University of PA - Receiving my commission in 1989. I chose the Chemical Corp as my basic branch, and did my platoon time as a Smoke Platoon Leader. I went on in my military career and while the rank of Captain; I decided to stay with the Chemical Corp and completed the Officer Advance Course in the branch. While in the rank of Captain, I was mobilized to Ft Stewart, GA in support of a homeland defense mission. It was during this mobilization that I was able to complete my Combined Arms and Services Staff School. Later when I was a Major, I was called up for mobilization again. This time I was mobilized to Ft Dix, NJ to work with 1st Army in preparing personnel from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard for oversees deployments. This mobilization tour lasted five and a half years, from which I was then transferred into the Wounded Warrior Program for a half a year in Ft Belvoir, VA. After my recovery, I went back to the Army Reserves for just over a year. Upon promotion to Lieutenant Colonel, I was once again called forth by the Army to help protect our great nation. I am currently working at Ft Bragg, NC.

MY BOOKS
I have written two books thus far and have a few more in mind. The first one that I wrote is a 'how-to' for a spreadsheet that myself and my brother John put together to track dividend paying stocks, titled "Direct Investing Spreadsheets". In the text we set a login and password so that the readers may download a copy of the excel spreadsheet for themselves. The second book that I wrote is guide to collecting a specific type of WWII tokens, called "Office of Price Administration (OPA) Tokens". This is a hobby that I stumbled into as part of coin collecting that I have done since a young age. It is an interesting piece of Americana.
