I am a direct descendant of Robert and Julia LeClerc, operators of the LeClerc House hotel in Vevay, Indiana. Robert was a son of Louis Pierre LeClerc, one of the first settlers of Gallipolis, Ohio and longtime resident of Vevay. Julia was a daughter of Jean Daniel Morerod and Antoinette Dufour, members of the original group from Switzerland that settled Vevay in 1801.

I am interested in any information regarding Louis Pierre LeClerc, father of Robert LeClerc. Father died April 19, 1856 in/near Vevay. Son died July 22, 1856 in Vevay. I can find no grave for father, yet son and family have rather substantial markers in Vevay Cemetery.

What happened to Louis Pierre LeClerc and wife Marie Angeline Maguet LeClerc? Both died in or near Vevay, father died only a few months before son Robert.

Also, I am directly related to John C Anderson and family from Indianola, Nebraska. John, my great-grandfather, is buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery. His son, Andrew Martin Anderson and his wife, Ellen Jane are buried in Saint Catherine Cemetery.
