When I was four years old I lost both my parents in a car accident and was raised by my mother's parents alongside my younger brother. In 2005, I lost him as well so I'm the last surviving member of my immediate family. Due to not knowing much about my father's side of the family, I have begun to dig into my family history and sharing the treasures and gems I find there with my sixteen year old son.
