Genealogy research is similar to doing a jigsaw puzzle: the more pieces you place, the easier the rest of the pieces are to fit.

That's where the similarity ends, however. Unlike a jigsaw puzzle, a genealogical puzzle NEVER ENDS! Ultimately, genealogists discover that we are all related to everyone else.

I'm primarily a historian, so for me, the dates and relationships are secondary to the stories. I've discovered so many of them in my research and hope to share some of them here.

Like most American families, mine was a migrant bunch so their descendants are located all over the country. During different periods of time, they congregated in various places, but eventually 'wanderlust' drove the younger generations to move on.
