I started researching my family history about 10 years ago and my tree has grown from about a hundred people to over 800, thanks to a lot of searching the internet and pestering family members with questions about names, dates and places.

I follow Weygandt and Goff (my parents) families as well as Bader and Stephens (my wife's parents) with an interest in Webb, Dill, Watson and a few others.

I have a great grandmother who was a Webb, and through that line I have a 34th great grandfather born in the ninth century. The Webb family has a pretty detailed history, although I can't personally vouch for its accuracy.

On the other hand, my maternal grandmother is a complete mystery. She was born in Crenshaw, Mississippi and orphaned at age 5 or 6 (according to my mom). I've found not one trace of any of her relatives, in part because Watson is such a common name.

The findagrave website has proved to be an invaluable resource and I am happy to be able to add to its database.

I would like each contributor to know how much I personally appreciate all the time and effort they've put into making this site such a great resource.

Because of copyright laws and FAG policy, I do not put obituaries on a memorial, but my transfer policy is very lax, unless it involves a direct ancestor. Even then I will transfer to a closer relative. For me it's not about control or building numbers, but getting the job done.
