Bio

Born in Thermopolis, Wyoming and have had the privilege of living all over the US (Navy brat for part and proud of it). Have lived in Texas, Idaho, Connecticut, California, Hawaii, and Oregon, with summers in Montana . Now living in Colorado. I worked in healthcare management for 25 years, but am home now and looking at an empty nest. Research is good therapy.

My Dad's family have lived in Texas for generations, so do a lot of research in the Lone Star state and feel I have an identity with Texas having lived there a spell. My Mom's family were pioneers that landed in Montana. Both sides have origins in Kentucky, North Carolina, and Virginia.

I have 3 orphans and 3 ggrandparents that were immigrants that didn't leave much of a trail. I am actively researching the families: Taylor, Massey, Burton, Carrender (many spellings), Glenn, Mackey or McKee, Hooks, Zagorski, Hannah, and Swanner, to name a few.

I am also researching my husband's side: Hansen, Millar, Kelley, Cockshott, Petersson, Tiderman, Olsonn, Bengtsson, Gustafson, Larsson, & Andersdotter. In other words, Sweden and Norway.

As you can see, I face some challenges and am so dependent on others resources. Thanks to all of you who take time to document and share, esp pictures. If I can be of service to any of you, please let me know.
