I have been researching my family and other people's trees since 2002. Since starting out on this journey I realised that I knew nothing about my family except up to grandparents. After this I had no knowledge and because of family feuds a lot of information and photos have been lost. I believe that we can learn from our ancestors and break the chains of old habits and how we are brought up. On my paternal line I realised that all males had died before the age of 60 due to some form of abuse with self. I also learnt that the harsh upbringing went back through the paternal line until it crossed over to my 2 x Great Grandmother.
