I relied heavily on Find A Grave when I desired to create an ancestral album for my mother several years ago. I was amazed at the many generations, maternal as well as paternal, of my mother's ancestors.
It was only until recently when I requested a correction on my great-grandfather's (my dad's grandfather) that I was told that the file would be transfered to me so that I could make the correction wherein I discovered that I, too, could be a Find A Grave contributor.
And I am happy to be able, as a retiree, to visit my local and even other cemeteries as I travel, to look for, find and take photos for those desiring to have this information from the interments of their loved ones.
(Plus, this has added a new "hobby" that my husband and I share as he always goes to help me look!)
