This portrait of Mary Elizabeth Canfield was painted by her uncle, Bradley B. Bucklin. Mary was the daughter of George R. Canfield and Sarah Elizabeth (Bucklin) Canfield. She was born in 1853 and married Augustine Bailey Underhill in 1872. Mary was my husband's great-great grandmother.

I have been interested in genealogy for many years but getting involved in Findagrave has given me the perfect vehicle to trace our family roots and link the branches of the tree together.

Wayne Wright, Historian for the City of Glens Falls, has launched a project to create meaningful memorials for the more than 15,000 people buried in the cemetery on Bay Street. My involvement in the project has allowed me to not only work on family members buried there, but also to draw in family members from other local cemeteries through the relationship link.
