"Our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them."George Eliot 11/22/1819 to 12/22/1880 (Mary Ann Evans)After reading all the wonderful bio's listed here.... I have to admit I am fairly new to all of this. That does not mean I am not passionate about it, just new. I found this site after adding my Nana's name to my tree on Ancestry.com. a link to this site appeared and voila so did a picture of her marker. It brought a smile to face. So I in turn am here to do the same, share what I can down to the very last detail. I am looking to further my interest in researching family history & I can't wait to begin. I was handed a double edged sword as a blessing. A disease called Lupus. It took away my career which is how I defined myself, but has blessed me with an opportunity to stay home with my kids at a time where they think they are so independent, but I know they need me. So on my 'good' days I would love to help you out by taking photos of your requests. To my surprise, my daughter, Kaitie, has started coming along with me to the cemeteries locally and helping to take pictures. She and her brother Greg really enjoyed visiting All Saints Cemetery in Oceanside, CA. Having my kids involved in this wonderful project is so rewarding. Let me suggest that if you have kids - hand them a camera and let them tag along!Living in the present can't be beat!Names that we are researching:(Gregson, Pierce, Morlan, Fields, Bingham, Bourassa, Barnes, Wigfield, Rouse, Boone) are just a few. These are out of mostly Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, New Mexico and California. If you would like to find me on ancestry.com just ask and I will show you.PHOTOS - If we have added any photos of your loved ones that you would like to use please feel free to use it and just give credit where you found the photo by Jeanna & Kaitie Fields. Questions-Transfers:If you have any questions, please submit by using the EDIT function. I will then receive an e-mail. be sure to include your e-mail so that I can get back to you. We will try to respond within 24 hours. We are happy to transfer memorials according to the guidelines, and of course if they are friends or family just let me know I am not a stickler like some, I am not looking to make some kind of numbers magic, I am just here to help and learn. Thanks! Mom & Daughter Team Jeanna and Kaitie***********************************************LETTER FROM A MOTHER TO A DAUGHTER:"My dear girl, the day you see I'm getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I'm going through. If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don't interrupt to say: "You said the same thing a minute ago"... Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep. When I don't want to take a bath, don't be mad and don't embarrass me. Remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl? When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and don't look at me that way... remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair and dealing with life's issues every day... the day you see I'm getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I'm going through. If I occasionally lose track of what we're talking about, give me the time to remember, and if I can't, don't be nervous, impatient or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you.And when my old, tired legs don't let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked. When those days come, don't feel sad... just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love.I'll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I've always had for you, I just want to say, I love you... my darling daughter." Author Unknown
