Bio

In the event of my death, all of my memorials will be passed to my niece, Jennie Vie, #50245954

I have been involved in family genealogy since the late 1960's. I helped my mother read numerous records in the libraries of Salt Lake City and Los Angeles and Denver libraries, have read many rolls of microfilm. My mother wrote several research quarterlies and 3 family history books on the Bond, Pennington and Moxley families and I assisted wherever I could, proofreading, collating, mailing, etc. I started working on Find A Grave after my mother passed away to help others in the tireless efforts to find their family ancestors. I take my research very seriously and work hard to make sure I have found right information.

If anyone is wanting to place personal pictures to the memorial that I manage that come out of family history books that maybe copy righted, please ask before hand. If you obtained pictures that were published in my mother's family history books, please do not not use them without asking first. Her work took many years to accomplish and there are others out there that have used pictures out of her books without permission and take credit for them as their pictures.

When making edits to the memorials I manage, I will check the information against other records. Please list your proofs that the info I have is incorrect, if it is an acceptable proof, I will approve your edit. If your edit/suggestion cannot be verified, it will not be accepted.

I do not need to be reminded of the Find A Grave suggestions If you are a "Karen/Kevin", please remember, suggestions are just that, they are not rules. I also do not change things because you say it is the "norm." I am not like everyone else, I only put pertinent and needed information and not info just because you say it's true. It has to be proven. I don't use hearsay. If there is no proof, it will be declined.

I do not transfer family memorials that I manage.

If you send me an edit adding a period "." after an initial, I will decline it. It's a waste of your time and mine and the search function operates better by not using a punctuation mark. I will not accept edits to add a prefix of Mr. or Mrs. or Military ranks, professions, etc. Military rank and profession will be noted in the inscription section.

On military veterans memorials, I do not add their rank as a prefix. It makes it hard to search for the individual if their rank is before their name. The military information is put in the inscription line of what is on the headstone.

I try to find the burial locations within each cemetery. The location is put on each record as it corresponds with the cemetery records. Please do not add commas, periods, etc to the burial locations, these edits will be declined.

I will take pictures of your relatives graves through photo request, however, during the winter and summer months it depends on the weather as to when I will be able to get out and do it. I am also disabled and walking is hard for me, so getting out takes time and effort to take pictures. This is just a hobby and an interest in family genealogy and helping others find their long lost family members.

I will only transfer memorials to others if you are a relative within the Find A Grave guidelines. Harrassing, arrogrant or "bullying" requesteds and/or transfers will not be granted and reported to Find A Grave. Sorry I have to do this, but I have had a several experiences with harrassment, arrogance and bullying and I do not tolerate it. If I feel it is needed, I will report to Find A Grave.

Sorry to be this stern, but I don't want others to ruin something for me that I enjoy doing to help others and to keep busy.
