I have a genealogical interest in Reece, Church, Walton, Ward, Johnston, Steele, Hermann, Peyton, Sauer, Sattizahn and associated family lines. My paternal Reece family line migrated from Virginia, to Ohio and then to Iowa. I have thoroughly researched these family lines in Grayson County, Va, Highland and Allen counties in Ohio, and Linn County, Iowa.

My Reece ancestors came to northern Linn County, Iowa from Ohio as early as 1845 and settled just east of Troy Mills near what is now Lower Spring Grove Cemetery. My great-great-great-grandfather, David Reece, came to the Troy Mills area in 1851 followed by his siblings.

I have written 3 Editions of The Reece Family History to date (2002, 2006 and 2016). All editions can be found at familysearch.org. Editions contain lengthy biographies pertaining to my direct Reece ancestral line and associated family histories dating from late 1700's to late 1900's.
I am actively seeking any family histories, family photos or pertinent information regarding Reece and associated families outlined above. I am willing to collaborate with anyone regarding those family histories found in the books I have written to date.

In 2018, my cousin and genealogy companion, Daphane Hoover from Walker, Iowa, died, and the management of her memorials were transferred to me from her daughter, Deanice. I manage many of the memorials Hoover managed. I am very willing to transfer management of the memorials Daphane created or managed to anyone with an interest in managing them. Email me if you are interested in managing any of my memorials. I am willing to transfer memorials of those individuals who are not closely related to me. I would prefer that memorials under my management be managed by descendants of those memorialized.

I am willing to manage any individual's find-a-grave memorial connected to my Reece or associated family lines.
