Bio

At the present time, my main goal is to add photos to family grave sites and to develop pages for those relatives who may still not be listed on Find A Grave. Feel free to download photos if they will apply to your genealogy search, but I would appreciate a citation that you received the photo from "tdh."

Please visit my memorial grave sites of the Mata Family in Uvalde, Texas. There are links there to some of the extended families. The Matas were one of the original pioneering families in that region.

I am a third great granddaughter of Jose Francisco Ruiz, one of only two native born Tejanos to sign the Texas Declaration of Independence, and a second great granddaughter of Blas Maria Herrera of Texas. For that reason, I am also SLOWLY working on connecting the Ruiz-Herrera family members in the family cemetery in Bexar County. Most of the cemetery has been developed by other FindAGrave members, but many family connections have not been made. If you notice any connections that could be made, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will see what I can do to make it happen. Or better still, submit them yourself to the memorial manager. :)
