Hi, I have been working since 2000 on my family tree. One day my Mother told me to get a piece of paper & pen. She started with her line & gave me the names & most of the dates for 5 generations back from me. Then she started on my Dad's side doing the same thing. This intrigued me so when we went to the store I bought Family Tree Maker & started. As I put families in the tree my mother would tell me the names of their children, their spouses & their children with some dates. She could do this with my father's family also. She had so much stored in her head. My mother pass away in Dec. 2002, she made me promise her the day before she died that I would never quit working on the tree. What she didn't realize was she had me hooked.
