Hello, This account is primarily for a project on the PLEASANT HILL CEMETERY in Le Grand, Iowa.
I am making an attempt to record names/reconcile existing records for this cemetery and add to the work already begun by fellow contributors.
Im working with the 3x5 card system the gentleman/current caretaker has used for years, information from an old moldy cemetery map, a boy scout project... that while admirable and certainly time consuming? Isn't complete and Ive discovered discrepancies.
In addition, I've been loaned an old ledger of cemetery burial records...Maybe between these sources we all can have a more complete picture of who is buried within the cemetery.
I don't claim to be the end all authority on the cemetery or various records...Im just trying to help record folks who otherwise might slip through the cracks of accountability.
*As of August 14, 2014 I have also found another documented source and will work hard on adding any additional information that may be contained in that record source as I can.
*I have also found record of a few surrounding cemeteries that were considered "out of general vicinity" at the time the burials were recorded. In most cases, the name of the respective cemetery is included so I am also branching out a wee bit to include whatever additional information to those cemeteries/individuals as I find them.

While I have many, many family members within Pleasant Hill cemetery in Le Grand, none of the folks listed here are related to me. I have no additional information of those listed other than what I try to include on the memorial pages.
If you'd like me to transfer a memorial to your management, send me a message through the edit portion of a memorial page so I will have a reference for who you'd like transferred. Please include your Find a Grave member number as well. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
