I have been researching my family for many years. A wonderful cousin introduced me to Find A Grave. I want to thank him for his encouragement.
I am mostly focusing on family members. Both those that I have had the honor of knowing and honoring those whom have long past. I feel that they all lived important lives that need to be remembered. We would not be here today without their courage and persistence.
Some of the memorials have little information. This may be due to family preferences.
****I will gladly add or modify information to the memorials I have. BUT...PLEASE SEND INFORMATION TO SUPPORT ANY EDITS...I.E. SOURCES. I DO NOT WISH MAKE INACCURATE CHANGES.

There are MANY similar names/dates out there and I have seen some MAJOR mistakes. Once the errors are in the "system", they permeate throughout Ancestry and Family Search. This can become a mess to fix. I know we All make mistakes. So, PLEASE add your sources....

Something new to note:
The majority of contributors on Find A Grave have worked countless hours researching their memorials. Of late, I have noticed that information on memorials is finding its way on to other sites. This is not a problem and that is partially why this site exists. What is a problem is when people copy verbatim to another site and do not credit the researcher. So...Please give people credit for their contributions.
RE: Photos--Please refrain from adding duplicate headstone photos to memorials. FAG limits the number of photos added to a memorial, unless we "Buy" it. This is expensive and only the Photo contributor can remove them. PLEASE allow room for family members to add their own family pictures.
Please avoid copying obituaries. They may include living individuals, who may not wish to be listed via Find A Grave.

A few things I've learned...
Social Security Indexes can be off.
Death certificates are good for date and location of death (other info on death certificate is advisory).
Birth certificate is the best source for date of birth, location, and parents.
Census information is advisory.
Info from headstones is also advisory too. Headstones are sometimes put in place decades later by descendants and errors are made.
