I've been working on my family genealogy on and off for over 20 years. Father's side=Werling from Germany/Bavaria/Alsace-Loraine and others. Mother's side is much more difficult=Cone, Mackone, Cune, Scotland and UK. Plus Jamieson. Have found that Jamieson spelling (especially at Ellis Island is all over the map). Mostly Scotland, Ireland, UK.
I do have some evidence of a lineage to Clan Gunn of northern Scotland.
