Originally from Shelby Ohio, I've lived in California the vast majority of my life. I retired from a career in law enforcement in 2001 and from a second career with the U.S. treasury in 2014. With more time available, I've been working on the family genealogy, using Find-A-Grave extensively. I decided to pay back my success by searching and photographing memorials for other searchers.

My other hobbies include geocaching and acting in community theater and professionally in a one-man show portraying Teddy Roosevelt.
