My maternal ancestry came to South Carolina from Ireland in 1768 and were Patrick and Rebecca Carson. They traveled to America in a "snow class" ship called the SNOW BETTY. I am of the 8th generation down from Patrick & Rebecca with many Hughes and Brown relatives in addition to the Carsons. My mother was Elouise Carson Mitchell Spugani (1912-1990).
My father was Surry Edward Mitchell (1911-1979)who was born in the Danville, VA area. His parents were John Albert Mitchell (1895-1941) and Mary(Mae Belle)Hines (1885-1962) who lived in this area also. It is believed their Mitchell ancesters came from England in the 1700s
I reside in Florida.
