I have been doing my family research off and on for about 20 years. Some of my lineages go back to all the connecting Royal lineages dating from William the Conqueror and and his descendants down to the War of the Roses. My most fascinating finds were of Free People of Color and Mulatto branches on my tree. Family stories of being Cherokee. Connections to the Melungeons of Tennessee.
I have also become fascinated with genetic genealogy.
