My maternal side leads back mostly to Brawley, CA. and before that Alabama and my paternal to North Carolina for the most recent past. My paternal seems to have settled in North Carolina on both sides of my father's family and stayed there for quite a long time with some still residing there.

Researching: Campbell, Smith, Chandler, Christian, Branum, Kirkland which is quite confusing as so many married cousins or those from another branch of Kirkland's or into the same families, Maples, Moon (Moon continues to confuse me, as they do many), and more on my maternal side.

Researching: Lloyd, Peacock, Johnson, Lee, Strickland, Roberson, Stephenson, Merritt, and more on my paternal side.

I have found my father, William Genatis "Willie George" Lloyd, I have found my father's family on maternal and paternal sides. Through DNA I was able to establish that William Genatis and Willie George were the same person. He had moved up to North CA. and had a son who had a son (the grandson is the one that provided the answer through DNA testing). In the latter part of the 70's and I assume an estrangement at the time from his wife, William had a daughter who I have also matched with through DNA. So I now have some of my answers and I am grateful to those that contributed to finding those answers, every bit of information helped get me there.
