Since specializing in documentary storytelling, my interest has and still is in the untold story...for some, markers may be the only clue to the story to uncover. Researching my family lines, to discover these stories, has become a passion. And through that passion I've wandered throughout cemetery spaces, where only a marker represents the life of a forgotten pioneer, a soldier passing from wounds in a battle, a child taken by an epidemic or a great-great grandfather who fell to his death while working to feed his young family. Our ancestors have stories to tell as do our community cemeteries and markers...my goal is to document those stories and the family connections and to preserve the cemeteries/markers to honor those that have come before us.
