Bio

I have been working on my family tree for over 10 years now. However, just found FAG a little over a year ago and have found it to be a wonderful tool/resource. I am researching Adams, Gardner, Murphy,Brunelle, Rogers, Franklin (aka Ruark), Jackson, Monahan, and Quick Families. As well as a few others.

Franklin (aka Ruark) family is of particular interest to me. My GGG-Grandparents Benjamin and Malissa Ann Jackson Franklin left Kentucky during the Civil War and moved their family to Indiana. They changed the surname from Ruark to Franklin. However, the story doesn't end their it is my belief after a great amount of research and discussion with others researching this family and Ruark Family that the surname was most likely Pollitt. Anna Pollitt Benjamin's mother was married to an Unknown, Pollitt prior to her marriage to Jordan Ruark and given the fact she was seen alone in the 1830 census alone with four children it is unlikely any of those children were Jordan Ruark's. Anna Pollitt is a mystery that I hope to some day solve.
