Bio

I have been interested in genealogy and family history for many years. I share information on the Internet in several ways.

I started out using Personal Ancestral File and now use the RootsMagic genealogy program.

I understand how GEDCOM works.

I'm interested in families of the Ohio River Valley: Henthorn, Yoho, Conger, Watson, Lemley, Mozena, Ice, Tennant, Postlethwait, Rine, Goddard, Gorby, Goudy and many others.

I maintain five Google blogs and I'm very active on Facebook. I created a secret genealogy group on Facebook called - Henthorn Genealogy.

We live in Maryland, inside the Washington, DC Beltway.

FindAGrave posters, if you are doing West Virginia research please remember that a person could be born in Virginia and die in West Virginia, never having moved. This is due to the fact that West Virginia became a state on 20 Jun 1863.

Sometimes I'm called: Mr. Dickie.
