I have really been interested in genealogy for about 15years. Through such programs as Family Tree Maker and websites like Ancestry, Family Search and family websites I have been able to find many family members. Of course, like everything you really have to verify and re-verify all information, believe it or not even my family who has passed down information has been wrong.
I was married to Wilmer Marcelle "Billy" Lee Jr. (1947-2010) memorial #109804672 on 15 Aug 1967. After we divorced in 1991 I married Kerry Dean Burks (1954-2015) memorial #153256888 on 13 Feb 1993.
After daddy (Harold "Smokie" Swarthout 1927-2002, memorial #50951153) passed away in 2002 I really began to keep mother interested in family information and gathering as much as we could, it seems to help her a lot. When she seemed to get distracted or upset about something all I had to do was mention finding someone in the tree and she started pulling her books out (she has handwritten so much information and placed it in binders, me I would rather do the computer. lol) and forgot about everything else. She passed away 18 Mar 2017 memorial #50951201 and I have been lost without her. I have neglected some of my research but am back now and hope to find a lot more ancestors and update the cemeteries.
