Bio

Trained in genealogy at BYU in 1970s. Numerous additional courses taken over the past 40+ years. Began when we used typewriters, carbon paper, correction tape, used numbering systems to help distinguish individual lines on pedigree charts. We did actual research at the library, by snail mail, telephone, National Archives if fortunate to travel to one, and purchased books for our own home libraries. Sharing research was done by snail mail and was usually a very nice experience. Of course there were exceptions. My genealogy web pages are no longer on the Internet. I had for years placed the historical information on my site as I was able to document a line for D.A.R. membership. I have 14 individual Rev War Patriots inn my family and as well am the fourteenth generation in my family to have served in the US Military.......retired US Army. I am also a trained Investigator and retired from the Special Investigations Unit of a major insurance company. I tend to specialize in lineage for families with Jewish lineage. It is very satisfying to compile the family history of a family who lost relatives in the Holocaust.
Shalom, Karen Chambliss-Abraham in Petaluma, CA.
Serve as historian at BIJC in Petaluma as well as on the Board of B'nai Israel Cemetery.
