Bio

I am looking for lost family, the Wakelings, they emigrated from London to Verdun, Montreal, in 1906/7. Mr George Albert Wakeling & Harriet Mary (nee Finch), always referred to as Hettie. She was my Gr8 Aunt, the eldest of 12 siblings and daughter of a Master Baker, living predominantly in Plumstead, south east London. Hettie & George had 3 sons, Edward George, Ralph Fredrick & William Eric, all born in Verdun. William named one of his own sons Edward Ralph, after his brothers. Whilst George survived the Gr8 War, William was killed just prior to or during the battle of Ortona in Italy, part of the bigger 'Battle for Rome'. I don't know what became of his brothers.

I would dearly like to get in touch with any of their family, before my Grandmother, William's cousin passes on.
