I was born late in my parents' life; my grandfathers died before my birth, one grandmother died before I was 6 months old and the other before I was 10. Aristotle said "Nature abhors a vacuum" -- since my memories of my grandparents are mostly limited to photos and recollections of others, I have been interested in filling the void. It is my hope that future generations will not have to recreate the wheel but build their own knowledge on those of earlier generations. My grandmother Daisy Charles Greene had three granddaughters named in her honor. She also has a great-granddaughter who bears her name.
