Descended from American colonists and patriots.
Paternal family came to Texas in the 1840's and 1850's with some coming from Alabama as late as the 1870's. My German ancestors came to Texas in the early 1850's.
All settled in the Travis and Bastrop County areas.
Maternal family came to Texas in the late 1800's from Lauderdale, Chambers and Tallapoosa County, Alabama. They settled in Bell and Williamson Counties.
