I live in IL, U.S.A. I have researched my family history off and on over the last several years, particularly tracing my Tullis ancestors back to several parishes in Fife, Scotland. I am the 4th generation Tullis to be born in the US. My GGG Grandparents David Tullis-b. 30 May 1790 Cupar, Fifeshire, Scotland/ Christened 22 June 1790/ d. 23 Mar 1859 Fairfield, Wayne, IL/ Buried 24 Mar 1859 Buckeye Cem. Geff (Jeffersonville), IL/ Married on 7 Sep 1823 Scotland to Euphemia Wilson b. 15 Apr 1808 Hilltacesess, Ceres, Fife., Scotland/ Christened 15 Apr 1808 Cupar,Fifeshire, Scotland/ d. 10 Dec 1876 Fairfield, Wayne, IL/ Buried in Buckeye Cem. Geff (Jeffersonville), IL, came to the U. S. A. on the ship Olympus from Liverpool, England. They landed in New Orleans, then traveled up the Mississippi to St. Louis, MO. From there they made their way east to Millshoals, IL & settled to farming. My GG Grandfather Alexander Tullis 1826-98, who was a school teacher in White Co. Il, one of their 14 children, married Mary Newby 1834-1915 & had 9 of his own including G Gr. William 1867-1947. He married Agatha Files 1870-1954 & they had 12 children. Grandpa Wilson married Elizabeth Luther, the came my Dad & now there's me. lol I plan to update & add family entries when I can. I will also try to take notes on neighboring plots as well
