Bio

While I have been researching our family's ancestry for many years, I've only recently been able to devote a substantial amount of time to the project...and it does take time. Death certificates, obituaries, and burial records can provide a wealth of information about your ancestors, and it's taken a combination of these to locate the first American immigrants in our family tree.

The paternal line of our tree's Irish-American ancestry begins with Michael Seery, born in the 1790s who, with his family, emigrated from Ireland to Canada, and then to Philadelphia PA. Other names from this branch include:
McCabe, Cowley, Tierney, Collins, and McClain just to name a few.

Although searching for your ancestors can sometimes be frustrating it is also rewarding. Just be careful not to fall down the rabbit hole in your quest, as each find often leads to new and tantalizing questions.
