Over the years much of our research has been taken over by sites like My Heritage (when they were beginning and were free) and then told us that we would have to pay for the privilege of looking at it. As pensioners living in a country with poor exchange rates it is very important for us to do research where the data is still available for all. I make a point of adding my information on the system whenever I am sure that what I have is right.
I have an extensive family tree with ancestors in the UK, Canada, Germany, Namibia. I have for the past years of my retirement been specifically researching the Ellwood & Butler families and its various branches.
