I've been researching my family since the 1980's. Collaborated with a group of relatives I have never met, set up a research website, and between us all we pulled together names, places and records, and finally published a nice hardbound book. It was a long tedious project, but it paid off.
I am now attempting roadblocks through DNA painting and have been successful with that also..........many more things to discover.
It's a hobby, but also gives many insights of your roots with stories.
