I have spent the last 40 years doing my sometimes very complicated family history. There have been several twist & turns along the way, but I am determined to find out and document what I can. I want to be able to leave this information for future generations.
I hit a brick wall on the Rauh side of my family 30 years ago that I still cannot find. It's been very frustrating & sad. My Grandmother hoped I could unlock this mystery, but she passed away many years ago & I am no closer to figuring it out now than I was then. I do refuse to give up.
I was very lucky in Oct. 2018 to travel to the Winston-Salem North Carolina area to visit the graves of my Moravian Elrod/Douthit family from the 1700's that were some of the first settlers in the area, Revolutionary War Patriots & who were instrumental in the building of the Hope Moravian Church.
I am related to a United States President & an accused Salem witch who was hung. I am a proud member if DAR.
