My children and I have an active interest in our ancestry and enjoy learning, researching, and exploring documents, locations, and cemeteries that are a part of our ancestral story. My children have an extensive heritage in Ellis County, Texas dating back to the 1870 purchase of land by their 3x Great-Grandfather, land which their father owns and will be passing down to them. They also have ancestors who settled in Limestone Co. Texas around 1840 and ancestors who settled in Collin Co., Texas around 1860. Their paternal family lines going back 4 generations are Witten, Plummer, Clement, Farrar, Stewart, Jordan and Coleman. My family ancestry over the last several generations can be traced to Erath and Bell Counties in Texas and Piana degli Albanesi, Palermo, Sicily, Italy. My family lines going back 3 generations include Talley, Hicks, Riola, Robbins, Hickey, Carr, Grisham, Holley, and Scarcella. We are very grateful to all the volunteers who have spent their time, energy and money to contribute memorials to this very valuable resource. We hope we can continue to contribute in the future.
