Bio

As the youngest and the only child of a second marriage, I grew up never knowing much about my family. When my father passed in 1999, I turned to genealogy to learn more about him and his family. I knew next to nothing about him other than his immediate relatives, his siblings and their children. Truthfully, I did not even know all of them. Slowly, I started meeting wonderful people online connected to my father who taught me the ins and outs of researching and a passion was born. It's been over 16 years now and I see no signs of that passion waning.
I count myself fortunate to be the family historian, the keeper of stories. Every addition, every lost person found, brings me personal joy. Every piece or tidbit of information brings another facet of their lives to light and for that I am thankful. I am lucky enough to have family that occasionally help taking pictures and do research on their own. Not every one is so blessed.
I have only just started contributing to Find A Grave although I have used it as a citation for several years. I did not start contributing to be a collector. I believe all people deserve to be remembered, old and young alike. Most of the people I have listed are my own relatives in some way although their are a few I have created after visiting the cemeteries they are at and taking random photos. I have tenuous connections to all but 1 that I am aware of. However, if your connection is closer than mine, I will gladly transfer to you and will gladly share what information I have.

This page is dedicated in loving memory of my "daddy"
A.C. Comer fag#129555522
whose memory can live on here thanks to a beautiful soul who created and then graciously transferred his memorial to me, contributor BeVera #48191712.
If you have time after passing through, please feel free to stop by his memorial and leave a token. Just signing your name is great too! His favorite flowers were yellow roses and daisies. (The latter maybe because that was his sister's name)
Thank you for stopping by and as always, kind regards and happy hunting into lives past, Amy
