Between 1988 and 1990, members of the Nobles County Historical Society (Genealogy Group) walked all the cemeteries in Nobles County. The members compiled a complete listing of all the gravestones and inscriptions in the county. We have not published the records but have made them available to family history researchers via email or local look up at our office. Gary Boomgaarden (steamerfan) submitted many memorials using our records. The Society is now trying to update their records and respond to as many photograph requests as possible using the Find-A-Grave website. We are always looking for help in this project, please send us an email if you would like to help out.

We also have a large obituary file that has been clipped from the local newspapers. If you would like us to check for an obituary or photograph of your ancestor please let us know.
