Grew Up in Fitzgerald, Ga from Just before 7th birthday thru Age 17 when I graduated High School 6-1966. Went to S.Ga College in Douglas, Ga for 3 Years with a 9 month ( 3 Quarters or a whole School Year ) Hiatus to Work double shifts ( 16 hrs/day and Save Money to Go to the University of Ga. in Athens 9-1969. Graduated the Pharmacy School in 6-1972 and Moved to Venice, Fla for about 10 yrs. Worked 1st at Dick and Meadows Phcy. With Jim Dick, RPh, Jerry Meadows, RPh and Al Henderson, RPh who I Interned under ( All 3 ) and their only Phcy. Tech Joan for the 1st Year. Got RPh License after Finishing the Year of Internship in 6-1973 for Florida and For Georgia. Moved to Tallahassee, Fl Around 1981 and Worked at FP May Drug Company in Quincy, Fl for about 2-3 Yrs. with Doc T.M. Cumbie & Son Tom Cumbie, Sr. & Technician George McDearmid. Then Albertson's Phcy on N. Monroe St for 7 Years. Then Back to Quincy, Fl to Work at Health Meds Phcy. for 3 Years. Came Back to Tallahassee,Fl ( where I've Lived since 1981 ) after Health Meds Pharmacy to Work for Big-B Drugs which Got Purchased by Revco Drugs, Which soon Got Purchased by CVS Drugs for Over 10 yrs between the 3 Companies. Then in 1st week of May 2002 went to work for Colquitt Regional Medical Ctr. Phcy. in Moultrie,Ga and Worked there for 11 Years. I'm Researching my Tharp Ancestors thru my Granddad Robert Moore Tharp, Sr of Nashville, Tn (where he lived and died ) and thru His Wife Jessie Eula Minton Tharp who Also lived and died in Nashville, Tn. I'm also looking for all the Info I Can get from My Mother's Side of the Family. Mother is Elizabeth Elaine Pool Tharp 96 yrs Old From Fitzgerald, Ga since 1955. She Finished High School in Nashville, Tn. I'm Researching Her Dad William Freeman Pool who was Born in Arkansas ( somewhere near Buckville, Arkansas ) and his wife, my maternal Grandmother Emma Lola Mayberry Pool. She was Born around Buckville, Arkansas and Died in Fitzgerald, Ga where Her Oldest child My mom Lives. I'm Very Interested in Tracking my GrandMother's Cherokee Heritage as Her Father was Either Whole or 1/2 Cherokee Indian. Also Researching Wife Carol Pitz Tharp's Ancestry in a big Way.
