Bio

Since I was a child, I have been in love with Norway, thanks to our mother and grandmother passing on to us their lore and traditions.

Then, when I was 14 years old (in 1966), I got bitten by the family-history bug. With the absolutely invaluable help of my maternal grandmother -- Mildred Romundstad Madson of Strum, Wisconsin -- I have been compiling extensive info on our famiy's story: people, photos, places, dates, events.

I have really appreciated the Findagrave community's work in documenting people's information and burial places -- THANK YOU for all you have done.

So far, I have not added any new F.A.G. memorials, but have submitted hundreds of edits to round out the work of others.

FYI:
My maternal ancestors' family names with their place names -- all originally from Norway, mid-late 1800's immigrants to Wisconsin:

- Imislund: Imislund Farm, Hamar Norway. Immigrated to Strum, Wisconsin.

- Romundstad: Romundstad Farm, Rindal Norway.
Immigrated to the Romundstad Valley/Norseville area of Strum, Wisconsin

- Fune (Funner): Fune Farm, Hjartdal Kommune, Telemark, Norway
Immigrated to Winchester, Wisconsin.

- Nayes: Gvarv, Sauherad Kommune, Telemark, Norway.
Immigrated to Winchester, Wisconsin.

- Madson: Nautenes Farm, Risor, Norway.
Immigrated to Wisconsin: first Milwaukee, then Sheboygan, then Wittenberg.

We are all immigrants !!
