I have always been interested in genealogy and history and recently began researching my family tree. Growing up I heard stories and names, grew up really only around one Aunt and a few cousins. Sadly the majority of my parents families had already passed either before I was born or shortly after. Since the late 1800's both sides of my family have lived in Texas. The majority my fathers side, the Maynor's and the Lisman's lived in Farmersville, Blueridge, McKinney and Princeton Texas.(Collin County) My mother's side, The Story's (Storey's) and the Fouse's, lived in and around Sulphur Springs, Cumby, and Greenville Tx. (Hopkins County).
I live in Denton, Denton Co., TX but go through all the listed cities above and plus some all the time. I have come to really enjoy walking thru cemeteries looking for Headstones that need to be photographed. Some are just beautiful, while some have a lot of character.
