I've been doing my family tree on and off for about 5 years or so. I live in Frankfort,New York. I have a public family tree on Ancestry and familysearch.org (which is free). Every now and then I get on a kick to take grave photos in my area. l just recently did the Family Tree DNA autosomal test and I am 45% British Isles family origin. Ancestry.comDNA says I'm 53% Britsh Isles. I do know my Great Grandfather came from Northern Wales in 1888.
