I currently live in Virginia and have enjoyed seeking out some of the rural cemeteries in the southwestern part of the state and in neighboring North Carolina. I am a professor of medieval art by profession and never tire of photographing grave markers and sculpture, and have become adept at "finger reading" some of the more weathered inscriptions.
