I am the daughter of Gordon Leo Dixon and Betty Jean Evans Dixon and was born in 1944. I have long had an interest in the Dixon genealogy and do not know of anyone else working on this family. I was born in Newark, Ohio, but have lived in Knox County for most of my life. When my grandfather died in 1977 owning the Dixon farm (settled circa 1806 in Burlington Twp, Licking County, Ohio,I found an abundance of Dixon family correspondence, pictures, and documents which made it easy to compile the information I needed to determine the lineage of my family for the last 200 years. Before I retired I spent many years as a paralegal and my experience in searching land titles has proven of great benefit in my search for additional information. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might share a common interest in the Dixon family in the Burlington Twp. area or Staunton, Augusta County,Va. from whence they came to Ohio.
