I am the only child of Horace Kenneth Greenwood and Bertha Myers Greenwood Haines. I was born November 1943 and my dad plane crashed in February of 1944. He knew I had been born, knew my name, but all the pictures that my mom had sent to him came back without him ever seeing me. I was raised knowing my grandparents, aunts and uncles on the Greenwood side. I cherish those years of memories and love I received from them. As a grown adult with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren it is import to me that they know the sacrifice my dad made for us all.
