Bio

I am relatively new to Find-a-Grave but have always been interested in genealogy, researching some of the family stories and continuing to help build our Family Tree.

My paternal heritage traces to Irish and Finnish immigrants from the 1800s. My maternal side goes all the way back to English immigrants who arrived and settled in America in the 1600s. Some of the information I have discovered here on Find-a-Grave has shed light on their frontier push and constant movement westward.

I am mostly interested in the following ancestral surnames:

Dignan, Doyle, Myron, Redden, Luoma, Rantala, Luomahaara, Lempola, Dahl

Parks, Thompson, Payne, Hopkins, Reynolds, Stewart, Maples, Roberts

Words of wisdom from another contributor, liked it and thought I would share:

PLEASE.......when you find your relative's page, leave flowers and at least a short note. In that note, state your relationship to that person. This is a great way to find living members of your family. If you leave nothing, they do not know you are out there somewhere. Leaving this lets them know that you are also kin to them and they will contact you. This is a win, win situation.
