I was born in Fostoria and have lived all my life in or within 1/4 mile of Fostoria. While I have been interested in my family history for a long time, I became interested in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria history when I started helping place the flags for Memorial Day in the cemetery. There was no list of veterans for the cemetery which made putting flags on the graves that much harder. Walking up and down the rows looking for veterans in the cemetery's oldest sections spurred my interest. Since then, I have been volunteering working on getting the records in electronic format for both the city and Kaubish Library.

Recently I read a few FB comments about wanting pictures of tombstones and waiting on Find A Grave requests for a long time. This got me thinking that maybe I could help someone get their requests fulfilled, so I checked into Find A Grave.

I guess I'll see where this takes me.
